Wood/leather box - I got this 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" wooden box secondhand at a flea market a while back. I decorated the top with scraps of green and brown leather from coats, and an old pottery bead. $6.00

Grab bags - I have five grab bags filled with random artwork that's been sitting around unsold for a few years. Each one has a variety of things in it--who knows what you'll get? I will have Taylor choose each at random since he has no idea what's in each one. Large bags (4 left), $15. Small bag (1 left) $8.00

Cedar box - This is another one of a kind piece. When I got this 8 1/2" long x 5" wide x 3 1/2" deep cedar box at a flea market, it needed help--the cheap metal hinges it had were broken, and the lock on the front no longer worked (and had no key to boot). So I covered the old keyhole with a piece of deer bone and made a latch-loop and hinges with brown deerskin and metal furniture tacks (the tips of the tacks on the inside are padded with deerskin since they went just barely through the other side of the wood). The lid is decorated with more deerskin, with three deer painted in acrylics on it, and a piece of deer antler sewn on as well. I really enjoyed reclaiming something that might otherwise have been tossed in the garbage! $22.00

Little brown bat - This is a vertebra from a whitetail deer. I painted it to look like a small brown bat sitting on a grey stone, complete with itty-bitty facial features. $4.00

Bone critters - These aren't the most technically fantastic things I've ever created, but they were fun! I took two bison vertebrae (about 10-11" wide) and two deer vertebrae (about 3" wide) and gave them clay eyeballs. I then painted the larger two silver and the smaller two black, and gave them pink mouths/innards. I also proceeded to make up little stories about them about how they were alien beings akin to manta rays that swam through their native oceans, absorbing tiny particles of nutrients through the membranes in the center. The young start out black, but fade to silver as they grow older. They are as-of-yet-unnamed. They also have little holes drilled in teh dorsal fins if you'd like to hang them up with string from the ceiling. $15/set

Moccasins - I got these leather moccasins secondhand; they're either never worn, or only barely so. I took out the cheap cord that had been used to stitch them and replaced it with nicer green leather cord; I also added brown leather ties to the top. I painted the tops in earthtones with acrylic paints, and stitched small stone disks painted with green and gold on top. They're supposedly women's size 8; however, I wear an 8 and they're just a *tiny* bit snug, so maybe more along the lines of a 7 to 7 1/2. They have warm faux fleece lining, and will be perfect for the cold weather to come. $16.00

$3.00 each

Green Rider-Waite bookmarks - These are from an odd version of the Rider-Waite deck, printed in red and green, with traditional playing card markers in the corners. Here's what I have:
Death on one side, Ace of Cups on the other
Swords: 10
Wands: 3, 4, 5, Ace
Cups: 3, 6, King
$3.00 each

Shaman's Wisdom card bookmarks - These are made from the Shaman's Wisdom deck. Some in the group deal with the Zodiac signs, so the tassels reflect their particular element. Here's what I have:
Animal Totems: Eagle, Buffalo, Cougar, Badger
Plant Totems: Basswood, Oak
Stone Totems: Obsidian
Zodiac/Moon: Heat Moon (Leo), Grass Moon (Taurus), Snow Moon (Aquarius), Hunger Moon (Pisces), Long Night Moon (Capricorn), Crow Moon (Aries), Cornplanting Moon (Gemini)
Other: North, East, South, West, Earth and Sky
$3.00 each except Deer is $2.50 because the laminate is a little rough.

Celtic Wisdom deck bookmarks - These are a little larger than your average tarot card, but still make nice bookmarks. Here's what I have: Combat of Battle, The Soul (The Fool), Judgement of Skill, Adventure of Skill, The Shaper (3 Trumps), Foundation of Skill, The Mover (Chariot), Dialogue of Art, the Lover (VI), the Mingler (XIV)
$3.00 each
