Privacy Statement

The hit counter temporarily registers the referring page, IP address, OS and browser of the ten most recent visitors. This is so I get an idea of where my website traffic is coming from.

If you order a book from me via Paypal, I receive the exact same information as any other seller who uses Paypal--name, address, what you ordered, how you want it shipped, and whatever other information you've provided Paypal and/or us with. I use this information solely to make sure you get exactly what you ordered shipped in the manner you want, and that it gets to the right place, instead of getting sent to Tibet by the fastest yak in Asia. I will never use your information for sending you junk mail, nor will I give it to other people. I will also not pretend to be you while using your personal information--I like you, but not that much.

All of my information collection is done third-party--the hit counter is through Bravenet, I take orders through Etsy, and the Paypal is through-you guessed it--Paypal. Any cookies and other such things are through them, not me.

As to my (now-dormant) listserve, I do not add people unless A) they were a part of earlier announcement listserves and were given notice of the transfer from the older to the newer, and/or B) they voluntarily gave me their email address in person or via email for the express purpose of receiving announcements. This listserve exists solely to keep members updated on what I'm up to--I don't do anything with your personal information. Again, this is a third-party program via Yahoo! Groups. Same thing goes for the Facebook fan page. People can add themselves, and I do sometimes send invites to people who are friended to my personal account, but I don't use my Facebook for spam or phishing. And, of course, this is a third-party service offered by Facebook.

I also do analysis through Google Analytics. This collects information on what pages are clicked, but AFAIK it doesn't collect any personal info. It's just to let me know the flow of traffic here.

I am not responsible for any loss of personal information through any site I am linked to directly or indirectly. As stated, I do not harvest, phish or otherwise misuse your personal information. (I've been on the receiving end of identity theft. It sucks.)
