Red stag wall hanging - The piece of shoulderblade from an unknown animal that creates the base of this wall hanging was shaped exactly like this--I did no carving, sanding, or shaping of it. I did, however, paint it (the picture doesn't do it justice) and added a leather ear and antler. It has a brown waxed cord for hanging. I'm really, really pleased with how this guy turned out. $10.00

Canine wall hanging - The frame for this 3" diameter wall hanging is actually the core for an old costume bracelet whose old wrapping unravelled. I wrapped it with deerskin and stretched another piece of deerskin across it. I then painted a wolfish canine on it in brown acrylics paint. Has a small loop for hanging on the wall. $5.00

Wall hanging - I wrapped a 4" diameter metal hoop with golden deerskin (brighter than the picture shows) and suspended a piece of rawhide in the center. I painted a coyote (or other canid) paw in the center, and added a tuft of coyote fur at the bottom of the hoop. $9.00

Coyote wall hanging - I made a 23" long, 20" wide metal hoop out of two pieces of heavy duty steel wire from car wheel covers that had been shattered (yay, recycling!). I wrapped the hoop in grey-brown pigskin, articificial sinew and waxed linen cord. I suspended a piece of cowhide in the center and painted a fancifully colored coyote on it, and put a coyote face at the top. I then added eight turkey feathers salvaged from an old feather duster. I created this piece with the tarot Fool in mind, as the coyote is about to go bounding right over a cliff, and the feather duster feathers symbolize both the snob's assumption that the turkey is a lesser bird, and the wisdom of using whatever resources are at hand. $50.00

Fox wall hanging - I took a 9 1/2" metal hoop and wrapped it with black deerskin. I then added some more deerskin straps with some glass pony bead accents, and topped it off with a small greyish silver fox face. $16.00

Dragon wall hanging - I started with a scapula from a deer and carved a dragon with two forelegs and a long tail on it with a Dremel. I then painted the dragon in blue and green and did a wash of blue over the entire thing. I made the hanging cord and decorative strings out of a single braid of blue and green yarn. The wall hanging (not including the ends of the yarn) measures just over 7" long. The scan really doesn't do justice to this piece! $15.00

Green deer wall hanging - I started with a four point whitetail buck skull (one tine broken off, part of muzzle bone missing) and wrapped his antlers in faux vine. I then took the last bit of vine and dangled it down along his muzzle. At the end I made a loop of vine and goldtone wire, and in the center suspended a *really* nice quality handmade (not by me) porcelain stag/Celtic knotwork thicket pendant. The entire wall hanging, including dangle, is about 20" long and 12" wide. It's suspended by a braided waxed cord loop at the back. Very one of a kind piece! $75.00

Wall hanging - The base is a 9 1/2" long snapping turtle shell (top/carapace only); the accents are a pair of wings and ruff of a couple of different types of pheasant. I added braided cord and sinew dangles with wood beads, and a hanging string. $32.00

Handmade mobile - I started with a 13" metal hoop and wrapped in in green and brown yarn. I added a lot of yarn dangles, as well as some antique brass leaves. The entire hanging is about 40" long, including the hanging strings. Definitely a one of a kind piece as the leaves were a rare find! $40.00

Fur/bone/leather wall hanging - I made this rather unique piece out of an old mink stole, a couple of mink tails and feet also from stoles, a fox and racoon tail possum bones, a deer tail, a beaver face and a piece of deerskin. It measures 24 1/2" wide x 20" long and is not something I'll be duplicating. I had a lot of fun making this wall hanging, though it took a lot of time to stitch everything together--but artwork is a good destressor for me :) $40.00

Deer wall hanging - I took a doe skull I found in the woods and painted her in green and silver designs. I then added a black satin cord to hang her from. She measures 10 1/2" long, not including cord. $15.00

Bone pentacle wall hanging - The frame of this wall hanging is half of the pelvis from a roadkilled opossum. I wrapped the center with thread in a pentacle pattern and added two bone bead dangles for decoration. Not including hanging string, it measures 6" long. $5.00

Coyote wall hanging - 14" hoop wrapped in several colors of deerskin. I added a coyote face and a number of beaded dangles with rooster feathers, and a weaving of artificial sinew. 35" long total. $40.00

Fox wall hanging - This deer shoulderblade made a great base for a wall hanging. I made a 1 5/8" beaded disk in orange and black with a fox's paw design and glued it to the center. I then added dangles of artificial sinew, glass beads and a small bone heart on which I painted "Vulpes" and a small fox in black. I finished it with a lambskin hanging cord. Without dangles it measures 7 1/2" x 4 1/2". $22.00

Tapestry - I took a large piece of vintage fabric--my only guess is that it was a curtain or upholstery sample--and hand-stitched it to a dowel rod. I made a braided hemp haning cord, and then added a couple of green tassels and a 2 1/4" diameter bronze coat-of-arms pendant at the bottom hem. The entire piece, not including the hanging cord, is 48" long and app. 36" wide, dowel included. Now, it is all hand-stitched--I don't do machines--and everything but the dowel and hemp are recycled (the tassels actually used to hold my old curtains back!) It's definitely a one-of-a-kind piece as I don't have the means to get half the components again. I had a lot of fun with it, though, and it'll look good on *someone's* wall! $40.00

Deer jaw wall hanging - I started with a pair of deer jaw bones that I found on one of my rural routes, bleached them clean, and then bound them together. In the center I added a piece of porcupine quillwork I bought at a shop in Missouri years ago, white with red and yellow accents. I then finished it with several strands of artificial sinew and red glass beads. Not including the dangles, the piece measures 10" x 5 3/4". $18.00
